World Cup 2026 : The US Launches FIFA PASS Priority Visa System for Fans

With less than five months until the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off, the U.S. authorities have been working closely with FIFA and have introduced “FIFA PASS” for international fans travelling to the U.S. to see the world cup.

With more than six million tickets expected to be sold, FIFA PASS—the new priority appointment system that is designed to streamline the entry for international ticket holders to the U.S.—is aiming to give eligible travelers access to priority visa interview appointments while still maintaining all the standard procedures and requirements pertaining to visa application. FIFA describes FIFA PASS as a crucial step toward ensuring a smooth travel experience for global fans travelling to the U.S. since it will shorten the waiting time for booking an interview for the U.S. visa application.

FIFA confirmed that all current buyers will soon receive notifications through the official ticketing platform, while future buyers will have the option to choose during the ticketing purchase process.

Be aware that the FIFA PASS is aimed at fans who are required to attend a visa interview (including Hong Kong SAR passport holders). It is of limited relevance for nationals of countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Please always check for any updates regarding the travel policy at your World Cup destination to ensure the whole experience is smooth.
